<p>Job Description:</p> <p>VACANCY NOTICE</p> <p>2025 - 2026 School Year</p> <p>August 20, 2025</p> <p>Shoreline Adult Education</p> <p>ESOL Teacher - Branford Evening</p> <p>Position: Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teacher</p> <p>Location: Branford High School</p> <p>Schedule and Hours: Mondays & Wednesdays; 6:00 - 8:00pm</p> <ul> <li>September 11 scheduled meetings/orientation </li><li>September 15, 2025 class schedule begins and continues through the academic year </li></ul> <p>Rate: $107.50 per class session</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Able to work with a variety of people from other cultures with limited English language proficiency </li><li>Knowledgeable of pedagogy and current practices in the field of TESOL </li><li>CT Teaching Certification: 088 - English to Non-English Speaking Adults (or willing to obtain certification within a year) - Endorsement #111 TESOL is also acceptable. </li><li>Proficient in Google Workspace Applications, including Google Classroom </li><li>Familiarity with adult education a plus </li></ul> <p>Major Areas of Responsibility:</p> <ul> <li>Provide standards-based English language instruction with a workforce readiness focus that is appropriate to the maturity and interest of adult students. </li><li>Follow grant guidelines and State Department of Education mandates. </li><li>Maintain required student documentation for program compliance. </li><li>Work as a team member to assist students in meeting academic and career goals. </li></ul> <p>Start Date: Immediately After Filled</p> <p>Open Until Filled</p> <p>For more information please contact: Melissa Dayton, mdayton@branfordschools.org, 203-488-5693</p> <p>Interested candidates must complete the application online at</p> <p>www.branfordschools.org</p> <p>(Internal candidates should provide all the required information.)</p> <p>Bilingual English/Spanish candidates encouraged to apply</p>
