<p>At JEVS Human Services, we believe in giving people possibilities-opportunities to be self-sufficient and satisfied. Each year we touch nearly 16,000 lives, focusing on individuals with physical, developmental, and emotional challenges as well as those facing adverse socio-economic conditions including unemployment and underemployment</p> <p>Currently we have an exciting opportunity with our Work Ready program as a Referral Specialist. Work Ready provides a comprehensive set of employment-oriented services to those receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who are in need of specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency.</p> <p>Job duties for this position will include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain a working knowledge and database of secondary, post-secondary and industry-recognized credentialing programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all client information.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and maintain electronic and hard copy files for all participants referred to the Vocational Training Department.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide access to educational assessment to participants, track responses, and provide customized options to participants based on expressed interests.</p> </li><li> <p>Process resource referral requests as deemed necessary for vocational training activities, such as clearances, clothing referrals, state-issued driver's licenses, identification cards, birth certificates, and transcripts.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist participants with referrals/applications for Beyond Literacy, Five9, Digital Literacy, Penn Foster and EduConnect programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Track application and referral status and report updates to Clinical and Employment Services teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide on-going support and back up to Instructors, including scheduled workshops.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in adult education or related field OR Program Consideration: Work Ready staff and or clients that do not have an associate degree must be currently enrolled in a degree program and have completed over half the required credits toward an associate degree for consideration. Official transcript must be provided.</p> </li><li> <p>Willing to work a flexible schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to organize multiple tasks in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Car preferred. Some inner-city travel may be required.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to JEVS Code of Conduct</p> </li></ul> <p>The base pay for this position ranges from $23.35 to $28.00 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
