Our dynamic teams are unwavering in our commitment to continuous innovation, ensuring the evolution of products and the constant enhancement of the overall customer experience.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Build partnerships and collaborates across business units, stakeholders, disciplines, and product areas to ensure user experience consistency and alignment with company objectives </li><li>Contribute to the evolution and governance of the enterprise design system </li><li>Develops and implements innovative team practices and processes that drive change and identify new opportunities for value creation </li><li>You are a thought leader inside and outside of DISH, providing clear vision for the future of design. Contribute to a growing library of 'plays' that help operationalize design work to ensure consistency in execution </li><li>Master, refine, and evolve the user experiences and usability of our TV and mobile products </li><li>Be a coach and mentor to the product design team </li><li>Evangelize the value of a mature design practice, and help develop standards and best-practices for design operations </li><li>Collaborate with leadership to identify, benchmark and track UX metrics across products </li></ul> <p>Skills, Experience and Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience with a proven track record of bringing to market digital experiences - start to finish </li><li>Bachelor's degree in UX, Interaction Design, HCI or similar from a four-year college or university </li><li>UX certification OR relevant work experience OR a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered </li><li>At least 7 years experience as a UX or Product Designer </li><li>Real-world experience applying principles of agile, Design Thinking, and/or User-Centered Design methods to the product development life-cycle </li><li>Experience in developing experiences for people to find and watch video content on TVs, mobile, and streaming players preferred </li><li>Expert knowledge of common design tool stacks </li><li>Expert at bringing customers into the design process, from early discovery-phase user research, through to hypothesis validation via user testing </li><li>Experience working on TV interfaces and video content delivery services </li><li>Experience working with video content delivery services </li><li>Experience designing for multiple platforms, including desktop, mobile, TV, wearables, and voice </li><li>Working as an embedded designer with a product manager and tech lead </li><li>Experience contributing to high-level product design objectives and strategies </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Able to handle design projects independently end-to-end, from conception to post-launch monitoring </li><li>Effective, adaptable design process that covers the entire product design life-cycle </li><li>Expert knowledge of design systems </li><li>Deep understanding of user-centered design methods, and the tactical expertise that comes from regular, practical application of these design methods, preferably at enterprise-scale </li><li>Ability to lead a group of designers at the project level, and the power to influence others in order to build consensus while dealing with ambiguity </li><li>Deep understanding of user data and digital experience analytics, and experience leveraging data to derive insights useful to design </li><li>The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands autonomy, accountability and results </li><li>Ability to identify MVP, and protect it from scope creep, and/or feature erosion </li></ul> <p>Visa sponsorship not available for this role</p> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits.</p> <p>The base pay range shown is a guideline.
