<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The IT Support Technician provides maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal PBH staff in specified location(s).</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Provides user support and resolves problems, ensuring end user's satisfaction</p> <ul> <li>Monitors Support System for tickets assigned, responds quickly and effectively to the IT helpdesk queue and processes first-in first-out based on priority </li><li>Modifies configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation </li><li>Creates documentation of new network hardware implementation </li><li>Installs, tests and configures new workstations, peripheral equipment and software </li><li>Maintains inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses </li><li>Manages PC setup and deployment for employees using standard hardware, images and software </li><li>Assigns users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory </li><li>Performs PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations </li><li>Provides assistance for smart phones and other messaging devices - , iPhone, Android, etc. </li><li>Responsible for administration and internal support of the company's PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment </li><li>Provides onsite and remote support for regional facilities </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Must have general computer and keyboard skills </li><li>Must have a strong work ethic including being dependable, productive, and collaborative </li><li>Must have knowledge in remote support software </li><li>Must be able to lift PC equipment (50lbs) </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills required </li><li>Ability to explain basic IT concepts to a non-technical audience </li><li>Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Must have reliable transportation </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications and Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent Required. </li><li>Beneficial but not Required - associate's degree in computer science or technical school, or other related field. </li><li>Beneficial but not Required - A+ certification, Network+, and Security+. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Technical support experience beneficial </li></ul> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>Must be willing to travel to facilities </li></ul> <p>Training:</p> <ul> <li>Training will be provided in house by IT Team Members </li></ul> <p>Applicable State Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must meet pre-employment and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening, fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening (if applicable) </li><li>Must have valid Driver License to be able to drive between facilities </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Office environment: employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes </li></ul>
