<p>Job Description:</p> <p>ESY Nurse</p> <p>The ESY Program runs from June 30 to July 25 (closed July 4).</p> <p>Monday - Thursdsay 8:15 - 12:45</p> <p>Friday 8:15 - 11:45</p> <p>The program will be located at Oxford Middle School and services students Grades PK -12</p> <p>Rate: $40/hr</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be an RN. </li><li>Currently licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health. </li><li>Current certification in CPR </li><li>The ability to assess and evaluate the health status of each student in order to make a nursing diagnosis and establish a health plan. </li><li>The ability to interpret the health status and medical findings to the student, parent and staff responsible for the child. </li><li>The ability to recommend to the administration modifications in the educational program for a student due to changes in the student's health or medical status. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to serve as liaison between the parents, school and community in health matters. </li><li>Knowledge of and experience in performing health screenings </li><li>The ability to observe students, as needed, to detect health problems/issues. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills needed to maintain cumulative health records on all students. </li><li>The ability to assume responsibility to render emergency care to a student or staff member when injured or ill. </li><li>The ability to review and recommend revisions in school nursing policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>apply here</p>
