<p>Job Purpose</p> <p>Engineering technicians are responsible for assisting engineers and working alongside fellow technicians in the development of prototype bevel & parallel axis gearing.</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform duties listed below within Dana Safety Guidelines. </li><li>Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, crane hoists, & other material handling devices - internal certification required. </li><li>Drive lab transport vehicles to move tooling/part/material in the Ohio, Michigan, & Indiana tri-state area.•Set up & operate lab processing equipment & machinery. </li><li>Use lab equipment & machinery to develop drivetrain gearing that meets customer requirements, while following internal processing & design guidelines. </li><li>Work with Gear Engineering team to ensure proper tooling setup & accurate data collection is conducted. </li><li>Clean tooling & workpieces before, during & after processing. </li><li>Handle tooling & workpieces in a delicate manner. </li><li>Contribute to ongoing project & process improvements. </li><li>Maintain inventory lists to track tooling & workpiece location & movement. </li><li>Organize work area, tooling, & incoming / outgoing material in a tidy manner. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED minimum with relevant work experience. </li><li>Familiar with GED tolerancing on part and tooling prints. </li><li>Excellent mechanical aptitude & the knowledge to use basic hand tools & measuring devices. </li><li>Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook Email, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). </li><li>Self-motivated & capable of performing duties with minimal supervision. </li><li>Continuous communication of progress updates with other team members & management. </li><li>Ability to travel domestically & internationally for Dana manufacturing & assembly support. </li><li>Availability to work overtime during weekdays & weekends. </li><li>Have valid driver's license & ability to pass requirements for a DOT medical card to drive lab transport vehicles. </li><li>Pass internal fork truck test for certification (written & practical exam). </li><li>Ability to lift up to 35 lbs repetitively & stand for approximately 90% of the time. </li></ul> <p>Join our team of 40,000 problem solvers who are fostering a culture of innovation by leveraging the diverse perspectives of our global team.
