<p>Job Title: QC Microbiologist IJob Description</p> <p>We are seeking a Scientist I, Microbiology to join our team in the cGMP compliant QC Microbiology Laboratory, supporting the manufacture of biological products. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and safety of our products through various microbiological testing procedures.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform Bioburden and Endotoxin testing for waters, in-process, and product samples. </li><li>Qualify microbiological testing such as bioburden and bacterial endotoxin. </li><li>Draft SOPs, Test Records, OOS Investigations, Summary reports, and any supporting documents. </li><li>Review, analyze, and summarize data with guidance. </li><li>Order laboratory supplies and maintain required inventory according to SOPs. </li><li>Arrange the receipt of samples in the lab for testing. </li><li>Maintain and ensure safe laboratory practices. </li><li>Use aseptic techniques while handling samples. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in bioburden and endotoxin testing. </li><li>Strong understanding of microbiology principles. </li><li>Ability to draft and interpret controlled documents and reports. </li><li>Experience with laboratory documentation and quality systems such as LIMS, Trackwise, and Documentum. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Biology is required, with a preference for Microbiology. </li><li>A minimum of one year of work experience within the biological and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. A graduate degree and appropriate hands-on college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience. </li><li>Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques, light microscopy, gram stain, and general microbiological techniques. </li><li>Familiarity with microbial taxonomy and identification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position follows a schedule from Wednesday through Saturday, consisting of a 10-hour day shift. The laboratory environment is committed to maintaining safe practices and supporting GMP manufacturing activities and release testing.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $23.26 - $31.01/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
