<p>Aqua Finance is seeking a motivated Compliance Intern to support our Compliance team through hands-on, project-based work. This internship offers meaningful exposure to compliance and regulatory operations, with opportunities to contribute to real projects, conduct research, and support process improvements that impact the organization. The role is designed for students who are curious, detail-oriented, and interested in learning how compliance functions in a real-world business environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to defined compliance projects that provide hands-on exposure to regulatory requirements and internal compliance processes </li><li>Participate in a file organization and improvement project, helping modernize electronic compliance records while learning documentation and retention best practices </li><li>Complete assigned compliance research projects, summarizing findings to support ongoing compliance initiatives and team decision-making </li></ul> <p>Required Education And Experience</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled at a University or College at a minimum of Junior Undergraduate Status </li><li>Pursuing a degree in compliance, business, pre-law, finance, risk management or a related field </li><li>Completion of relevant coursework related to your field of study prior to the start of the internship </li><li>Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Internship will run from mid-May through mid-August </li><li>Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship period </li><li>Availability to participate for at least 9 weeks of the 12-week program </li><li>This is an onsite internship; interns will be required to work at our corporate location in Wausau, WI for the duration of the internship. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Gain</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on, real-world experience supporting compliance and regulatory activities in a corporate environment </li><li>Mentorship and professional development opportunities through collaboration with experienced compliance and business professionals </li><li>Opportunities to build your professional network by working alongside industry professionals across the organization </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly uses a computer and may be required to sit, stand, walk, see, communicate, and handle or manipulate objects or controls. The role involves extended periods of working at a computer and may require occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 20 pounds.</p> <p>This is primarily an office-based position with a significant portion of the work performed at a computer.</p>
