We are currently hiring skilled first-class Welders for multiple sites in the US. If you are a hardworking person who possesses the skills and ability to perform the job as outlined below, we would love to hear from you!</p> <p>Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Ideal candidates will possess welding experience with GMAW-SP, GMAW-P and SMAW </li><li>Performs welding processes on carbon steel (OSS, HSS, HY, HSLA etc.) assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals, metal alloys and with various joint configurations, and also capable of Aluminum GTAW welding. </li><li>Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. </li><li>Oxy/Fuel pre-heat and carbon arc gouging. Verifying weld size using weld gauges. </li><li>Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with SSP's and MDD's. </li><li>Requires occasional heaving lifting up to 50lbs multiple times during an 8-to-12-hour shift. </li><li>Requires standing and walking for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift. </li><li>Requires occasional bending from waist, crouching, kneeling and crawling periodically during an 8-to-12-hour shift. </li><li>Requires occasional climbing ladders up to 25 feet at a time. </li><li>Requires occasional working in confined space work environment with the potential of extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure during an 8-to-12-hour shift. </li></ul> <p>Please note that the essential job functions listed above are not intended to be all-encompassing. Employees may be asked to perform tasks which are not listed in this description but may also be considered essential for employment.</p> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>.</p> <p>Qualification, education, and experience requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years of related experience with High School diploma/GED and/or certification in assigned area preferred. </li><li>Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight; have working knowledge of precision calibration tools (weld gauges), be able to operate multiple types of welding equipment, and possess good trouble shooting / problem solving skills. </li><li>Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work multiple shifts. </li><li>Able to read and interpret drawings, technique sheets and weld symbols. </li><li>Ability pass respirator fit-check and wearing of respirator for portions of, or all of, an 8 to 12-hour shift or as required. Must be clean shaven for fit-check and dawning of respirator. </li><li>Must be a team player. </li><li>Flexible, willing to work long hours, safety oriented. </li><li>Experience with the Fabrication of Submarine parts preferred. </li></ul> <p>Weld Test Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>GMAW-SP & GMAW-P </li><li>Aluminum Plant GTAW process </li><li>GMAW-P will be 3 position plate tests, 3/8' thickness, with MIL-100S-1 wire; GMAW-SP will be in 2G position with MIL-100S-1 wire. </li><li>Welding tests will be bent immediately after the test. </li><li>Acceptance criteria is in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Publication S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248. </li></ul> <p>Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).</p> <p>Work Authorization Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proof of Identification - Driver's license or any other identification card issued by federal, state, or local government that contains a photograph and the person's name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and street address. </li></ul> <p>Proof of US Citizenship (must provide one)</p> <ul> <li>U.S. birth certificate (birth documents issued by a hospital, notifications of birth registrations; and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before July 1, 2010, are not accepted </li><li>Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or U.S. passport card </li><li>U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization </li><li>A record of Military Processing-Armed forces of the United States (Form DD 1966), provided it reflects U.S. citizenship. </li></ul> <p>RPG participates in the eVerify program.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity</p> <p>RPG is an equal opportunity employer.
