Join us to make legends happen!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Barn and Stall Maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Clean and maintain assigned stalls, barns, aisles, wash racks, and adjacent areas daily </li><li>Rake, sweep, and maintain the appearance and functionality of all walkways and working surfaces </li><li>Remove manure, soiled bedding, and debris promptly and thoroughly </li><li>Monitor stall conditions and report any damage, repair needs, or unusual conditions to the Director of Operations </li></ul> <p>Facility Presentation & Upkeep:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the overall appearance of assigned barn areas is clean, organized, and visitor-ready at all times </li><li>Regularly inspect and tidy shared areas including turnouts, crossties, and tack storage zones </li><li>Assist with pest control support by eliminating trash, old bedding, or other unsanitary buildup </li><li>Participate in deep-cleaning rotations and power washing efforts as needed </li></ul> <p>Horse Welfare & Safety Awareness:</p> <ul> <li>Observe horse behavior and report signs of distress, illness, or injury immediately to the Director of Operations </li><li>Follow safety protocols when working around or near horses </li><li>Report any unsafe conditions or hazards related to facility infrastructure, barn equipment, or animal behavior </li></ul> <p>Inventory & Supply Support:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the distribution of shavings, alfalfa, and other barn supplies </li><li>Monitor inventory levels in designated storage areas and notify the Stabling Manager when restocking is needed </li><li>Help ensure tools and supplies are stored properly and in good working order </li></ul> <p>Teamwork & Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure daily responsibilities are completed efficiently </li><li>Communicate regularly with the Director of Operations regarding progress, concerns, or boarder needs </li><li>Provide professional and courteous support to boarders, trainers, and visitors when interacting in shared spaces </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in barn or equine facility maintenance preferred </li><li>Ability to work safely around horses and follow barn safety protocols </li><li>Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, functional, and professional environment </li><li>Physical ability to perform heavy labor in outdoor conditions year-round </li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods </li><li>Strong communication skills and a willingness to take direction and work independently or in a team setting </li><li>Reliable, punctual, and accountable with a positive attitude </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Familiarity with barn tools and equipment, including wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, golf carts, tractors, etc. </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus </li></ul>
