<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of and experience with special education and the responsibilities of an Intervention Specialist (IS) </li><li>Current license as an IS </li><li>Admin license preferred but not required </li><li>Ability to drive to different locations to work directly with teacher apprentices </li></ul> <p>Note: This position will be grant funded for three years.</p> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>Superintendent in Residence at the ESC of Central Ohio</p> <p>Job Objectives:</p> <p>The role includes supervising and assessing the performance of Teacher Apprentices completing the On The Job Training (OJT) requirements of the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Work with the Superintendent in Residence to design the assessment system for the training program based on the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession. </li><li>Monitor and assess the performance of teacher apprentices during the OJT component of the apprenticeship program. </li><li>Coordinate OJT related activities with apprentices and classroom teachers. </li><li>Coordinate field-based experiences that are required by education program providers in their course work. </li><li>Provide training and support for Teacher Mentors. </li><li>Support the maintenance of OJT records for reporting purposes. </li></ul> <p>Application Procedure: Please complete the employment application through the ESC online system - www.escco.org/careers</p> <p>Job ID: 21992</p> <p>April 2025</p>
