<p>For over 40 years, JANUS et Cie has been an industry leader in design-driven furnishings for outdoors. The luxury lifestyle brand is now seeking a Sr. Director of Merchandising & Planning. This role will be based out of our production facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA.</p> <p>The Senior Director of Merchandising and Planning is responsible for leading the strategic assortment logic, purchasing, order fulfillment, cost and inventory optimization across JANUS et Cie's luxury product portfolio. This role bridges design, product development, product management, finance, sales, and supply chain to ensure a coherent go-to-market strategy that supports revenue growth, brand integrity, and customer experience. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with a passion for luxury design and deep merchandising acumen.</p> <p>Salary Range $165k-$175k</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development merchandise plans for entire JANUS et Cie assortment of products. </li><li>Build, mentor, and manage a team of planners and merchant specialists </li><li>Conduct competitive and market trend analysis to inform product strategy in line with financial objectives. </li><li>Partner with product design and development to align merchandising with brand vision </li><li>Optimize product assortment and SKU lifecycle across all categories </li><li>Drive inventory planning strategies, sell-through targets, and OTB management </li><li>Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure alignment across forecast and fulfillment </li><li>Develop reporting and performance dashboards for executive leadership </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Directly manages the Merchandising and Planning team </li><li>Provides coaching, direction, develops and empowers direct reports </li><li>Ensures workflow and processes are operating at maximum efficiency for business necessity </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in merchandising, planning, or product strategy within home furnishings, luxury goods, or fashion </li><li>Proven leadership in cross-functional team management and product lifecycle planning </li><li>Bachelor's degree in business, Merchandising, or related field; MBA preferred </li><li>High proficiency in retail planning systems, ERP platforms, and Excel </li><li>Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of luxury consumer behavior </li></ul> <p>REFLECTS OUR BRAND VALUES:</p> <ul> <li>We listen to our Customers </li><li>We rely on our Members </li><li>We honor Integrity </li><li>We embrace Continuous Learning </li><li>We lead with Design </li><li>We create Value </li><li>We make the World Better </li></ul>
