<p>Level I Quality Assurance Specialist</p> <p>The GBS Group has an exciting opportunity in Philadelphia, PA for a Quality Assurance Specialist, NSWCPD Code 00Q support Position, to be part of team supporting Quality Assurance and Technical Administration Support services. This work will include:</p> <ul> <li>Quality Management System Program, Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Quality Assurance Program </li><li>Shipboard Work Quality Assurance Program </li><li>Command Level I Material Program, and support for the SUBSAFE Program Office </li><li>Special Programs/Test Site Quality Assurance, and Naval Foundry Propeller Center (NFPC). </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop Technical Quality Assurance Requirements, to be reviewed and approved by the Government, in support of the customers procurement of Submarine Antenna and Periscope System and component parts and the NAVSEA Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) Submarine Antenna Quality Assurance Material (SAQAM) program. </li><li>Packages include all technical requirements of the applicable contract, drawings, material specifications/standards, and the Quality Assurance standard applied in the NSWCPD ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program. </li><li>Have an expert level of knowledge with the Navy's SUBSAFE and the Level I Material Program (LIMP) - specifically a comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010, Rev 3, Volume 1, Material Control Standard. </li><li>Develop and recommend procedures and work instructions in accordance with the Command's Quality Management System for Government approval. </li><li>Travel to the production contractor's facility in order to perform vendor audits to ensure that the vendor is compliant and eligible to procure Level I material IAW NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010, Rev 3, Volume 1, Material Control Standard. At the end of each trip, provide a trip report. </li><li>Review procedures and work processes IAW applicable NSWCPD Quality Management Systems Quality Management Procedures. </li><li>Develop and update various tracking spreadsheets as needed and enter in government shared drive. </li><li>Prepare for research and conduct Level I functional area surveillances as required. </li><li>Attend Level I Program Team meetings as required. </li><li>Assist in all internal and external audits of the NSWCPD Level I Program. </li><li>Manage NAVSEA 07Q and 05R3 audit card due dates, update audit card tracking spreadsheets, and assist in developing audit card responses. </li><li>Track issued command Level I training to ensure NSWCPD workforce compliance, and report status back to the LIPM. </li><li>Maintain a SharePoint website track personnel training matrix, sending out training reminders as due dates approach. </li><li>Updating weekly presentation slides for various meetings. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/ Requirements</p> <p>Candidates for this position must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain one. </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Target Experience: Five (5) years of relevant QA work experience with SUBSAFE or Level I systems. </li><li>Experience in performing various quality assurance functions such as Quality Planning, Inspection and Testing, Auditing, review of Objective Quality Evidence, and Quality Management, and/or services that are essential to the safe operations of United States (U.S.) Submarines and Naval Level I Material Program. </li><li>Experience in supporting the development procedures and work instruction for governmental approval in support of departmental Quality Programs. </li><li>The contractor shall be proficient in reading and understanding complex electromechanical engineering drawings/blueprints. </li><li>The contractor shall have an expert level of knowledge with the Navy's SUBSAFE and the Level I Material Program specifically a comprehensive understanding of NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010, Rev 3, Volume 1, Material Control Standard. </li><li>Knowledge of Quality Systems that meet MIL-I-45208/ISO 9001 standards. </li><li>Effective communicator (oral and written). </li><li>Experience with Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite programs. </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Standing for excessive periods of time </li><li>Climbing ladders </li><li>Subjected to loud environment </li><li>Subjected to fluctuating climate temperatures </li><li>Squatting and ducking to maneuver through congested spaces </li></ul> <p>Pay & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 based on experience </li><li>Discretionary bonuses </li><li>401(k) with match </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>11 holidays </li><li>Benefits include: </li><li>Medical </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision </li><li>Voluntary Life insurance </li><li>Voluntary Accident/ Critical Illness Insurance </li><li>Company Paid: </li><li>Basic life Insurance </li><li>Short Term Disability </li><li>Long Term Disability </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>The GBS Group is an equal-opportunity employer.
