<p>Job Description and Duties</p> <p>Will consider applicants currently in Business Services Officer II (Supervisor) position.</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Director of the Diagnostic Center Central (DCC) and as a member of the Administrative Team, the Business Service Officer-III (BSO-lll) plans, organizes, directs, and supervises all business and facility functions for the Center. The Center is owned by the Department of Education and does not receive any Department of General Services (DGS).</p> <p>The BSO-lll ensures that operations function at maximum levels of efficiency, safety and in compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations. The BSO-lll promotes a quality service orientation with all staff that reflects the mission, goals, and values of the California Department of Education.</p> <p>You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Will work in a temperature controlled environment with LED lighting. May predominantly sit at desk or use sit/stand desk during normal working hours to perform daily duties, and may be required to lift and carry document boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. This position may be kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead/above shoulder level, sitting.</p> <p>May be required to drive a State fleet vehicles or sit in vehicles with coworkers when traveling to meetings that are off site. Overnight stay may be required.</p> <p>This position has a Pay Differential 515 - State Special Schools Recruitment and Retention of 10% of the base salary. The pay differential is not included in the salary listed below.</p> <p>Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 15, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. The DCC operates from a "whole child" perspective focusing on the needs of the students we serve.</p> <p>The DCC is one of three regional assessment centers operated by the State Special Schools and Services Division of the California Department of Education. The Centers provide assessment, training, and technical assistance to all Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in California.
