If you are self-motivated, detail oriented and passionate about improving production, we want to talk to you.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>We're looking for a friendly, outgoing individual who will be responsible for observing, documenting, and finalizing work instructions for General Air. This position reports to the VP of Operations and works with our associates to understand the standard operating procedures for job functions.</p> <p>Your Day-to-Day</p> <ul> <li>Observe, shadow, and document operational processes across production and distribution teams </li><li>Break down complex workflows into step-by-step playbooks, groups, and steps using Playbook Builder </li><li>Meet with team members to review and refine instructions for clarity, accuracy, and efficiency </li><li>Proactively schedule time with associates and managers to ensure processes are fully understood </li><li>Organize and manage your documentation and writing time with minimal supervision </li><li>Maintain clarity and consistency in written materials for users with varying levels of experience </li><li>Support the creation of a comprehensive digital SOP library that improves safety, consistency, and training </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What You Bring to the Team</p> <ul> <li>Excellent writing and communication skills - ability to explain technical processes in simple terms </li><li>Strong attention to detail - accurate transcription of observations is essential </li><li>Highly organized - can break down complex information logically and manage multiple tasks </li><li>Proactive mindset - takes initiative to schedule, follow up, and push projects forward </li><li>Observant and curious - notices the nuances and variations in how work is performed </li><li>Adaptability - comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, and evolving environment </li><li>Technologically proficient - confident in Microsoft Word/Excel and eager to learn Playbook Builder </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with team members who are busy or reluctant </li><li>Time management - manages an independent schedule effectively without set hours </li><li>Learning agility - capable of absorbing and communicating a wide range of processes quickly </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or interest in operations, training, writing, or industrial engineering is a plus </li><li>Be able to stand on your feet 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of walking, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, sitting, and repetitive motions </li><li>Frequent lifting of 10-20lbs </li><li>Strong track record of being safe </li></ul> <p>Why General Air</p> <p>Our employees tell us that people choose General Air Service & Supply because of the way they are treated.
