<p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>FSLA: Salary/Exempt</p> <p>Division: Field Operations</p> <p>Department: Field Operations</p> <p>Reports to: Superintendent & General Superintendent</p> <p>Supervisory Duties: Yes</p> <p>Salary Range: $77,000 - $85,000</p> <p>Reporting directly to the Superintendent and General Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will help with daily on-site management of construction activities on the project site.</p> <p>Responsibilities / Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. </li><li>Provides technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals. </li><li>Manage select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality. </li><li>Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates. </li><li>Understand the project schedule and the critical path. </li><li>Review and provide content for the short-term plan. </li><li>Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials. </li><li>Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and various building officials in a professional manner when required. </li><li>Participate in business development. Create Raving Fans on current projects. Utilize contacts to initiate leads for future projects. </li><li>Participate in monthly superintendent's meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training sessions. </li><li>Develop skills required to become a Superintendent and manage and control all aspects of a construction project. </li></ul> <p>Key Skills</p> <ul> <li>Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills. </li><li>Strong?communication skills. </li><li>Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Motivated and driven. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Construction Management/Civil Engineering. </li><li>0-5 years of experience in the construction field or related field in a similar role. </li><li>Understands building plans and specifications. </li><li>Knowledge of safety standards and enforcement. </li><li>OSHA 30 Required. </li></ul>
