<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Support Staff/Education Assistant</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Great Lakes Elementary School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>08/25/2025</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open until filled</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Notice of Support Staff Posting</p> <p>Position: Preschool Ed Assistant (GSRP) Posting # 3838</p> <ul> <li>Great Lakes Elementary </li></ul> <p>Posting Dates: August 11, 2025 - Until Filled</p> <p>Reports To: Principal</p> <p>Beginning: Immediately</p> <p>Hours: 28 hours per week</p> <p>Monday - Thursday</p> <p>7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.</p> <p>School-Year/Part-Time</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CDA (Child Development Associate) credentials is preferred, or willingness to obtain the CDA </li><li>Experience working with children and teaching them developmentally appropriate skills. </li><li>Demonstrate good attendance, punctuality and excellent communication/organizational skills </li><li>Demonstrates friendliness, dependability and trustworthiness towards others. </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Works with Lead GSRP team to uphold classroom requirements, standards and guidelines aligned with the Michigan early Childhood Standards of High Quality </li><li>Collaborates with the teacher to collect and keep accurate records on the child's developmental stages </li><li>Attends staff meetings and recommendation training programs to maintain or obtain CDA credentials </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <ul> <li>Willing to work in cold weather </li><li>Able to be flexible and adjust quickly to the needs of the day </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. </li><li>Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 20-50 pounds </li><li>Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. </li><li>Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. </li><li>Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. </li><li>Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. </li><li>Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. </li><li>The worker is subject to environmental conditions. </li><li>The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance. </li></ul>
