<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor (DON) and day-to-day direction of licensed nursing staff, the Medical Program Assistant-Associate (Health Unit Clerk) provides administrative program support and coordination for a nursing unit at WVHUG. Duties include acting as the key resource person on the nursing unit for coordinating, maintaining, obtaining and retrieving records and clinical information, to assist nurses, physicians and all other disciplines responsible for member care. The position follows and incorporates medical standards for coordinating and maintaining clinical records in a long-term-care facility and ensures paperwork for required reporting is completed within established timelines.</p> <p>Click the link to view a copy of the full Medical Program Assistant-Associate job description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting wage is $21.66 per hour, plus an attractive employee benefits package.</p> <p>The Medical Program Assistant-Associate is in pay schedule-pay range 02-11. For current State employees, pay on hire will be set following the Wisconsin Compensation Plan.</p> <p>This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>The Health Unit Clerk works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.</p> <p>Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.</p> <p>A 12-month probationary period may be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>In their resume, minimally qualified applicants will describe their experience using medical terminology.</p> <p>Well-qualified applicants will list their degree/s or certification/s in medical administrative support or related fields.</p> <p>Additional required and preferred experience that will be assessed later in the selection process are:</p> <ul> <li>Using computers to complete work tasks; and </li><li>Providing administrative support to a work unit; and </li><li>With professional communication and customer service; and/or </li><li>Using Microsoft Office Suite to complete work tasks; and/or </li><li>Maintaining electronic healthcare records; and/or </li><li>Independently organizing workload and completing tasks timely </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To be eligible for consideration for this job, complete the online application process.
