Assist where appropriate the instructional and support staff as well</p> <p>as students, parents and members of the community</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Experience with personal computers is required. </li></ul> <p>PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Report to work regularly and on time, prepared to perform appropriately assigned duties throughout the day, in service to students, staff, and the community. </li><li>Prepare for and perform all assigned duties required by one's job description in a positive and collaborative manner. </li><li>Follow justifiable directives issued by the established chain of authority with a learning-oriented attitude and seek support when needed. </li><li>Identify, report, and/or if possible control unsafe conditions or safety hazards in order to maintain safe and secure working and learning environments. </li><li>Demonstrate professional respect and integrity when interacting with students, parents, staff, community members and other stakeholders. This includes and is not limited to verbal, nonverbal, personal and electronic interactions. </li><li>Comply with federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, and related administrative guidelines that prohibit coercive, harassing, threatening, retaliating, bullying or discriminating conduct. </li><li>Communicate in a truthful, timely, compassionate, and empathetic manner about any matter of interest to the District following the appropriate chain of authority. </li><li>Manage District property and assets in an ethical and responsible manner in accordance with federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, and related administrative guidelines. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of information as required under federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, and related administrative guidelines. </li><li>Report actions, through the appropriate chain of authority that may represent violations of federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, and related administrative guidelines. </li><li>Refrain from unethical activity that may reasonably interfere with the legitimate operational interests and goals of the District. </li><li>Comply with all other federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, and related administrative guidelines. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Receive and greet all staff, students, parents and visitors courteously and assist them accordingly. </li><li>Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, answering phones and providing information as requested. </li><li>Create and maintain a clean and welcoming environment in the front office. </li><li>Maintain inventory and process purchase orders for classroom and office supplies as needed. </li><li>Process student withdrawals and maintain student records as required. </li><li>Assist teachers in preparation of materials as needed. </li><li>Receive and distribute interoffice and U.S. mail. </li><li>Coordinate classified time cards and teacher and classified attendance records. </li><li>Maintain daily student attendance operations and update databases, in absence of attendance clerk. </li><li>Assist building principal with creation of annual building budget and maintain ongoing budget reports. </li><li>Use available technology to disseminate information to students, parents and teachers as requested. </li><li>Maintain database to verify all students have completed necessary forms. </li><li>Maintain database to verify all students have submitted required fees. </li><li>Maintain database for student technology management and fees. </li><li>Assist with additional programs such as honor roll, staff attendance, and time sheet distribution and collection. </li><li>Compile publications and documents as requested by administration. </li><li>Prepare and make deposits as needed. </li><li>Maintain office equipment such as copy machine, fax machine, phone system and printers. </li><li>Provide medical assistance in the absence of the school nurse including dispensing medication, taking temperatures and contacting appropriate personnel. </li><li>Maintain and post detention lists. </li><li>Record student attendance during fire drills. </li><li>Coordinate student of the month and parent/teacher conferences. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community. </li></ul> <p>OTHER INFORMATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION</p> <ol> <li>Ability to operate the following equipment: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Copy machine </li><li>Calculator </li><li>Computer/printer </li><li>Fax machine </li><li>Telephone/cellular phone </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Additional Working Conditions: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue </li><li>Interactions with unruly children </li><li>Repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, typing </li><li>Interruption of duties by students, visitors, staff and/or telephone </li><li>Requirement to work overtime as approved by the Superintendent </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Frequent repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, typing, calculator, writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with</p> </li></ol> <p>hands, crouch and stoop.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or </li></ol> <p>move up to 50 pounds.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal, Assistant Principal STATUS: Classified SALARY: Based on training and experience in accordance with the district salary schedule.
