<p>Job Title: Field Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This position involves performing basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. The field technician will independently recommend troubleshooting tests and make field decisions without direct supervision. They are responsible for obtaining and compiling field data to determine the condition of structures under evaluation, which will be submitted for senior staff review. Familiarity with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects is essential, as the technician will evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor. The role requires driving from site to site in a company vehicle.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems. </li><li>Recommend and conduct troubleshooting tests. </li><li>Make independent field decisions without direct supervision. </li><li>Obtain and compile field data for evaluation. </li><li>Submit field data for senior staff review. </li><li>Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for area supervisor. </li><li>Drive from site to site using a company vehicle. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in construction and field inspection. </li><li>Utility locating experience. </li><li>Comfortable working in a field/construction setting. </li><li>Ability to work independently and interact with team members, clients, and management. </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel as required. </li><li>Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to learn and gain certifications. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is a field/construction site setting, providing an opportunity to gain extensive knowledge and experience within a niche industry.
