<p>Purpose of Position - Promotes the heath and welfare of participants. Works with staff to develop and deliver training and lead activities for assigned participant groups. Supports staff with group activities and participant engagement. Acts in accordance with Imagine!'s mission and guidelines as well as Individual Plans. Maintains professional relationships with participants, families, providers and staff.</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities</p> <p>Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the participants.</p> <ul> <li>Is responsible for knowing health and safety requirements set forth by Imagine! guidelines. </li><li>Works with staff in providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for participants. </li><li>Assists with gathering and organizing supplies, encouraging participant involvement and positive social interactions, and assisting participants as needed. </li></ul> <p>Acts in accordance with Imagine! policies, mission, and the Individual Plans.</p> <ul> <li>Leads and supports activities according to Imagine! guidelines, in the context of activity protocols and plans, and in the context of a nurturing, stable environment. </li><li>Communicates effectively and professionally with participants, guardians, family members, and staff. </li></ul> <p>Completes trainings and tasks as directed.</p> <ul> <li>Supports quality service delivery by meeting the guidelines set forth in Imagine!'s quality standards, as well as following schedules, information sheets, and plans as directed. </li><li>Works with staff as directed and in compliance with guidelines. </li><li>Completes all required training in the appropriate timeframe. </li><li>Completes timesheets and requested documentation in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Assistant Facilitators will remain within view of Instructors while working.</p> <p>Other Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Actively participates in required staff meetings, workshops, in-services, and discussions. </li><li>Maintains and cares for Imagine! and community property, including supplies and vehicles, being mindful of safety and cleanliness. </li><li>Promotes team morale by being positive and professional. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated skill in working with people with developmental disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting. </li><li>Ability to be punctual. </li><li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to engage participants using enthusiasm and dialogue. </li><li>Effective verbal communication. </li><li>Ability to read and write in English. </li></ul> <p>Training/Education:</p> <p>Ability and willingness to successfully complete required training curriculum.
