Our aim is to facilitate the creation of innovative medical solutions that effectively address crucial unmet medical needs. These needs encompass various fields such as oncology, immunology, and neuroscience, among others.</p> <p>To achieve JJIM R&D goal of increasing the number of internally originated drugs brought to the market, it is necessary to enable expedited exploration of a larger and more diverse molecular space. This can be achieved through the implementation of automation, utilization of novel modalities, profiling approaches, and the application of data science. The success of these endeavors is dependent on the presence of technology platforms that facilitate automated laboratory systems, seamless integration and analysis of generated data, and provide valuable insights and decision-making support to researchers.</p> <p>The Analyst, Technical Product Management, will join the R&D Business Technology organization to support the Screening, Profiling and Inventory product space. This product team specializes in providing both local and global IT support for all High- and Low throughput screening and profiling processes, along with the support for the logistical processes to assure these activities can be driven efficiently and under optimal conditions.</p> <p>To provide effective IT solutions within the context of the Screening, Profiling and Inventory product space, a candidate needs a basic understanding of the scientist's responsibilities and challenges. A background in biology/biochemistry would be beneficial in comprehending the specific needs of the scientist. This knowledge helps the candidate design and develop solutions that align with the scientist's workflows, such as data analysis tools or visualization platforms. It also facilitates effective collaboration and communication between Discovery and Business Technology, leading to more tailored and impactful solutions.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible to define, scout, implement and champion new data-driven and IT approaches across the Screening, Profiling &Inventory product space globally. </li><li>Support cross-site, multi-disciplinary projects with internal and external partners. </li><li>Identify and drive opportunities to enable the modernization of modality agnostic decision-making. </li><li>Promote the engagement and commitment of team members and ensuring superb communication between researchers, developers, and suppliers. </li><li>Define project goals and handle risks/budgets to ensure impact, including post project evaluations and communicate accordingly to partners. </li><li>Evaluate and communicate the strengths and weaknesses of business processes. Identify new business requirements and develop the business change strategies to address the needs of partners by improving information systems, procedures and nurturing organizational change. </li><li>Support the coordination of external vendors and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted achievements, agreed-upon timelines, and metrics using visualizations to communicate more complex data relationships and trends. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science subject or related subject area </li><li>Demonstrable experience working with informatics and scientific IT applications </li><li>Demonstrable ability to be "bilingual" in both science and technology </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative partnerships and trust across functions </li><li>Strong Business Sense & Social skills. Ability to work with business partners to understand business requirements </li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving needs </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree or equivalent experience </li><li>Pharmaceutical industry experience </li><li>Demonstrated ability enabling use, development and maintenance of scientific IT systems within the pharmaceutical discovery </li><li>Ability to generate and communicate sophisticated metrics, using data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Knime </li><li>Understanding of cellular dynamics (e.g., drug response, differentiation, pathway enrichment) </li><li>Previous practical experience using GeneData Screener </li><li>Foundational skills in IT, showcasing proficiency in areas such as database management, data engineering, cloud computing concepts, and IT architecture. </li><li>Experience in working with sophisticated data solutions in an Agile/Scrum, Cloud-based environment, and deployments at a global scale </li></ul> <p>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
