<p>SALARY</p> <p>Commensurate with certification, degree, and experience based on the Wicomico County Unit II Salary Scale. Includes employee benefits package.</p> <p>HOURS</p> <p>12 months, (260 days)</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt</p> <p>Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit II (Administrative and Supervisory) bargaining unit</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Hold or be eligible for Maryland State Department of Education certificate as a School Psychologist.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively using the English language when deemed necessary.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Conduct and interpret psychological assessments of students to parents, school staff, and students, as appropriate.</p> <p>Assist in the development of educational activities and behavior management programs as they relate to individual student needs.</p> <p>Meet with the IEP team to participate in eligibility determination, placement decisions, IEP development, and program reviews of students with disabilities.</p> <p>Complete functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans for students with behavioral needs</p> <p>Provide professional development for staff and families regarding disabilities, early intervention, behavior intervention and mental health supports</p> <p>Provide counseling services to students.</p> <p>Provide crisis intervention to school-based personnel, students and families.</p> <p>Participate in school-based prevention and intervention programs.</p> <p>Assist school officials in maintaining effective communication between students, parents, the community, and schools.</p> <p>Serve as a resource and consultant to students, staff, and parents.</p> <p>Serve on other committees, as needed, to support school and school system improvement efforts.</p>
