Westchester Country Club also has two large banquet rooms, conference facilities, member apartments, and guest accommodations.</p> <p>ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Restaurant Host & Operations Intern to support daily front-of-house operations while assisting management with administrative and organizational duties. This internship provides hands-on experience in hospitality management, restaurant operations, and team coordination.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is professional, organized, creative, and eager to learn the inner workings of restaurant leadership.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p> <p>The Restaurant Host & Operations Intern must complete all tasks and assignments as assigned by the management team, including but not limited to:</p> <p>Front-of-House Host Duties</p> <ul> <li>Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming first impression </li><li>Manage reservations and waitlists </li><li>Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest experience </li><li>Communicate guest needs effectively with servers and kitchen staff </li><li>Assist in maintaining a clean and organized host stand and entrance area </li></ul> <p>Management & Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist in designing and updating restaurant menus (layout, formatting, and presentation) </li><li>Help create and modify restaurant floor plans to improve efficiency and service flow </li><li>Support the development of opening and closing duty checklists for line-level staff </li><li>Assist with staff coordination and task assignments </li><li>Observe and support daily operational procedures </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Organizational skills and high attention to detail </li><li>Creative mindset </li><li>Interest in hospitality, business, or restaurant management </li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft, Canva, or similar tools preferred) </li><li>Must be able to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays and special events as needed </li></ul> <p>PAY RANGE</p> <p>$20.00 hourly compensation</p> <p>WHAT WE OFFER</p> <p>At WCC, we believe that our biggest strength lies in the exceptional people who work for our organization to deliver memorable experiences to our members and their families.
