<p>Full job description</p> <p>Medical Assistant</p> <p>The MA demonstrates the teamwork and collaboration needed to lead a patient focused clinic. The MA will assist the physicians and their care teams and other team members to fulfill MA responsibilities as required to ensure an accurate, professional and efficient visit for all patients on the provider's schedule that day.</p> <p>Receptionist</p> <p>The Receptionist is the first point of contact for any patient coming into the clinic. They demonstrate strong customer service and collaboration with their fellow coworkers. They are responsible for checking patients in and out, collecting copays, and answering patient questions.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The MA demonstrates the teamwork and collaboration needed to lead a patient focused clinic. The MA will assist the physicians and their care teams and other team members to fulfill MA responsibilities as required to ensure an accurate and professional visit for all patients on the provider's schedule each day. The MA will facilitate the efficient patient flow of the clinic - assisting other MA's and working as part of the MA Team, to ensure that patients are seen as quickly and skillfully as possible.</p> <p>The MA has the capacity to work with multiple providers, quickly learning new protocols when working with a new provider team. They recommend best practices to the Operations Manager to improve clinic processes. In preparing patients for their clinic visit, the MA is responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date EHR chart including data about the patient's present state of health to assist with proper diagnosis.</p> <p>The MA must be professional in their interactions with the patients; utilizing the AIDET process to exhibit an ability to ask the necessary questions in a manner that is both warm and efficient while effectively maintaining the flow of the clinic schedule.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide safe, effective care to patients </li><li>Work independently and execute the AIDET scripting </li><li>Accurately perform vital signs and chart in EHR </li><li>Be an expert on each provider's policies </li><li>Be a resource for all other clinical staff including other MAs, x-ray techs, receptionists, surgery schedulers and the office coordinator </li><li>Draw up medications for providers as needed </li><li>Perform end of shift room turn over </li><li>Assist Provider team with in office procedures, as needed </li><li>Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards and policies at all times </li><li>Manages difficult or emotional patient situations in an effective, professional manner </li><li>Flexibility with schedule in the event that a Provider's clinic periodically runs late </li><li>Checking in patients </li><li>collecting copays </li><li>handling receptionist responsibilities </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Flexibility to travel between locations is required </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of Medical Assistant experience </li><li>Preferred: </li><li>Previous Orthopedic clinic experience </li><li>Certified Medical Assistant </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and appropriate liability insurance </li><li>Access to personal transportation with the ability to travel to all locations </li><li>Continuous use of computers </li><li>Frequent use of telephone and/or smart devices </li><li>Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands </li><li>Continuous conversational communication </li><li>Occasional sitting, reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing </li><li>Occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs. </li><li>Occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areas </li><li>Memorize and retain instructions and policies </li><li>Read and interpret detailed specifications </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Pay: Starts at 21$/hour and goes up based on experience</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>8-hour shift </li></ul>
