For more information contact the Human Resources Recruitment office at 361-826-3300 to obtain Form SSA-1945 Windfall Elimination Provision.</p> <p>Grade: 101</p> <p>Salary: $12.22 Hourly</p> <p>Department: Utilities - Maintenance of Lines</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Rotating work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, dependent on class schedules. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Interns will be given special assignments depending upon their special interest and skills. The special assignment will expand their educational learning from the internship. They will have a mentor within the staff who supervises the special assignment. Interns will gain real-life work experience that compliments their education.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Environmental Programs Specialist with compliance activities </li><li>Assist Management with treatment related projects and programs. </li><li>Maintain documentation hard copy and electronic files of compliance activities </li><li>File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies. </li><li>Coordinate program activities with other City departments and other governmental agencies. </li><li>Verify that all City and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented and communicated. </li><li>Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities </li><li>May be asked to perform additional duties. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Position requires a minimum of two (2) years of college and applicants must be currently enrolled. </li><li>Applicants must have successful completion with a minimum grade of "C" within the twelve (12) month period of the date of application to the City's Student Intern Program. </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Basis of Rating</p> <p>Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.</p> <p>Closing Statement</p> <p>Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.</p> <p>Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.</p> <p>In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the general public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.</p> <p>This position is classified as "Safety Sensitive".
