If you are interested in joining our team, apply today!</p> <p>About this Role:</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Chief, Office of the Ombudsman (Staff Services Manager II), this Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) serves as one of three Division Ombudsmen and is responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and managing the functions of staff performing the duties associated with the Ombudsman program. The position requires the talent of a person who has great negotiating skills and the ability to listen to and interact effectively with the public, often under very difficult and stressful situations. This position requires knowledge of Medi-Cal benefits, health delivery systems, and health plan contractual obligations. The incumbent also needs to be able to effectively mediate between the contractors in the managed care program, the members, and the State.</p> <p>Call Center/Phones and Customer Service experience is preferred.
