<p>Description</p> <p>Title: Graduate Research Assistant</p> <p>Position Number: 0000GA11</p> <p>Hiring Unit: Office of the President/ Native Hawaiian Place of Learning Advancement Office (NHPoLAO)</p> <p>Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus</p> <p>Date Posted: August 22, 2025</p> <p>Closing Date: September 8, 2024</p> <p>Salary: $2,335.50 per month (Step 14) @ 20 hours per week</p> <p>Monthly Appointment Type: 11-Month</p> <p>Part Time/ Full Time: Part Time</p> <p>Full Time Equivalency: 50%</p> <p>Temporary/ Permanent: Temporary</p> <p>Other Conditions:</p> <p>This position is temporary; renewal of appointment is dependent on satisfactory performance, program needs, availability of funds, and meeting the eligibility requirements of the assistantship (for details , go to the UHM Graduate Division websiteEligibility & Criteria | Graduate Division (hawaii.edu).</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Performs various research activities, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, evaluation reporting, and research.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides support in presenting data and evaluation findings.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides support with NHPoL strategic planning efforts.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and assists with office programming.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Acceptance or enrollment in a Masters or PhD program at the UH Manoa campus in good academic standing, if currently enrolled, 3.0 GPA or above and making appropriate progress toward degree. Pursuing a degree in Education, Psychology, Communication and Information Sciences, Social Work, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain databases, proficient with basic computer software and hardware, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Wordpress, Canva, Zoom, and Google.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience collecting and/or analyzing qualitative or quantitative data</p> </li></ol> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience with 'olelo Hawai'i</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in Native Hawaiian programs or communities</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in reporting writing and with APA style</p> </li></ol> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>If you have not applied for a position before using NeoGov, you will need to create an account.</p> <p>Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and attach required documents.
