<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to and assisting the Vice President of Academic Affairs. The AVP of Strategic Planning/Academic Assessment and Compliance is responsible for the planning, developing and accreditation approval process of new baccalaureate and other academic degree and certificate programs as well as managing the special projects of Academic Affairs. This includes but is not limited to strategic plan, NECHE documents and visits, various internal and external compliances, articulations, college catalog, academic calendar, policy development and assessments. The role works closely with the Marketing department to provide information to support marketing initiatives. The role is responsible for the project management of all academic compliance initiatives and deadlines. The role assists the Vice President of Academic Affairs with the strategic plan and other accreditation requirements. The role is responsible for various documents such as academic catalogues, policies, and handbooks. The role also supports the execution of academic initiatives, goals, and visions set forth by the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the College. The role works closely with institutional research and ensures accurate reporting of required data.</p> <p>EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Master's degree from an accredited institution is required. Doctoral degree is preferred.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Minimum 3-5 years of administrative experience in implementing academic programing</p> <p>Ability to work closely and collectively with administration, faculty, and staff in developing academic programs</p> <p>Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education in roles of progressive academic leadership including some experience in a community college.</p> <p>Experience as a faculty member, department chair, or division dean preferred.</p> <p>At least 2 to 3 years of program development experience required.</p> <p>Knowledge of Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE) Principles of Accreditation and New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) policies and procedures.</p> <p>Knowledge of College, state, and federal guidelines, and policies, including accreditation standards</p> <p>Knowledge of best practices and procedures for Baccalaureate program development</p> <p>Experience in developing strategic and operational plans and implementation of such plans</p> <p>Strong data analysis skills and excellent writing skills to convert data into narratives for decision making and report writing.</p> <p>Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a professional capacity with diverse faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members</p> <p>Excellent communication, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills including relationship building with internal and external constituents</p> <p>Knowledge of various database and survey systems and ability to pull meaningful data for databased decision making and ability to incorporate such data into reports.</p> <p>Ability to manage, analyze and interpret data, including the ability to communicate data visually</p> <p>Ability to research and assess market data to identify opportunities for institutional academic program initiatives and other special projects.</p> <p>Project management skills</p> <p>Experience with adhering to organizational deliverables and deadlines.</p> <p>Accuracy and attention to detail.</p> <p>Exceptional organizational skills</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>TRAVEL: This position may require travel at both the Quincy and Plymouth Campuses as well as travel to partner institutions and the Boston educational site.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Manage and support all college wide accreditation and compliance initiatives.</p> <p>Facilitate and manage college-wide involvement in adhering to established project timelines and deliverables pertaining to accreditation and other academic compliance initiatives.</p> <p>Support the Vice President of Academic Affairs with executing the strategic and visionary mission of the college such as the growth of new bachelor's degree programs.</p> <p>Ensures accurate reporting of all data</p> <p>Responsible for the completion of regulatory report writing in accordance with standards and deadlines communicated by all accreditors such as NECHE and DHE.</p> <p>Ensure compliance with college state, and federal regulations and guidelines</p> <p>Complete and ensure accuracy of college catalog, policies, handbooks, academic calendar developments, and other academic projects as assigned by the Vice President of Academic Affairs</p> <p>Assist the VP of Academic Affairs in initiating, planning, and developing articulation agreements with other institutions of higher learning</p> <p>Assess and interpret data to be incorporated in various compliance reports and initiatives.</p> <p>Responsible for college wide academic assessment initiatives, to include implementation, involvement, execution and report writing and sharing.</p> <p>Support the marketing department by providing requested information and data</p> <p>Present data research findings to support academic initiatives</p> <p>Research and assess market data to identify opportunities for institutional academic program initiatives and other special projects</p> <p>Serve as a member of college-wide strategic operational, and academic committees as designated by the Vice President of Academic Affairs</p> <p>Responsible for communicating the status of all deliverables associated with college-wide compliance and accreditation initiatives.</p> <p>Manage, participate and work collaboratively in support of academic team goals and initiatives</p> <p>Participate in mandatory training/coursework.
