<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>College of Optometry</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Greet and assist all patients initially as they enter the clinic. </li><li>Check in patients, copy ID's and insurance cards, provide patient lists for the doctors and assign students. </li><li>Direct patient flow through the rest of the clinic. </li><li>Check out all clinic patients and close out the exam procedures. </li><li>Ensure all information is accurate for posting. (Ex. Check that the chart is completely filled in.) </li><li>Post super bills for all patients handled. </li><li>Reconcile all monies with the super bills. </li><li>Review super bills for accuracy. </li><li>Help guide students and patients to dispensary and prepare them to be seen. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment visas.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>M - F / 8AM - 5PM</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certifications as required by regulatory agencies is necessary</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years patient/customer service experience. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is desired </li><li>Experience in a health / patient care environment </li><li>Experience working with insurances and insurance companies desired </li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly Optometry and Ophthalmology desired </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Pay commensurate with education and experience.</p> <p>Hiring Range: $14.51 - $19.92</p> <p>Grade: GGS-006</p> <p>University Title: CLINICAL TECHNICIAN II</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Application Materials</p> <p>Application materials include a cover letter and resume.
