The Event Support Technician plays a crucial role in providing advanced technical assistance to our client's internal users, supporting collaboration meetings utilizing A/V systems for events such as All Org events, webinars, and global audio or video sessions of varying sizes. Additionally, this role involves supporting various media events and training sessions, requiring a solid understanding of VC platforms like Zoom and Cisco.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Validate operations against documented VC standards </li><li>Manage inbound support tasks </li><li>Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams </li><li>Set up and break down audio-visual equipment for meetings and events, including projectors, microphones, and speakers </li><li>Operate and monitor equipment during meetings, managing sound levels, remote cameras, video playback, and webcasting </li><li>Communicate with users about meeting requirements </li><li>Connect Windows and Mac devices to Audio Visual equipment </li><li>Instruct users in the operation of equipment if necessary </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in the audiovisual or related field </li><li>Strong customer service skills with effective communication abilities </li><li>Strong focus and organizational skills </li><li>Understanding or willingness to learn wiring diagrams and signal flow </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing tasks </li><li>Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow knowledge is a plus) </li><li>Exposure as an operating technician for live audiovisual special events is advantageous </li><li>Knowledge of IP Networking technologies, including the OSI model, experience troubleshooting TCP/IP based issues, switches, routers, etc., is essential, and familiarity with SIP and Slack is a plus </li></ul>
