<p>Company Interstate Power Systems Location Altoona Iowa Position On Highway Sales Representative Position Summary The On Highway Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of on highway parts and labor services at Interstate Power Systems Altoona Iowa location This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships identifying sales opportunities and delivering exceptional service to meet customer needs in the on highway transportation industry The ideal candidate is a motivated customer focused professional with a strong understanding of on highway vehicle parts and services Key Responsibilities Sales Development Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities for on highway parts and labor services targeting fleets owner operators and other commercial customersCustomer Relationship Management Build and maintain long term relationships with existing and potential customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat businessProduct Knowledge Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of on highway parts including OEM and aftermarket options to provide expert recommendations to customersLabor Sales Promote and sell labor services including maintenance repairs and diagnostics for on highway vehicles coordinating with service teams to ensure timely deliveryQuoting and Pricing Prepare accurate quotes for parts and labor negotiate pricing within company guidelines and follow up to close salesMarket Awareness Stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edgeSales Reporting Track sales activities maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and forecastsCollaboration Work closely with service technicians parts counter staff and other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and efficient order fulfillmentCustomer Support Address customer inquiries resolve issues promptly and provide post sale support to ensure customer satisfactionQualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in business sales or a related field preferredExperience Minimum of 2 3 years of experience in sales preferably in the on highway transportation automotive or heavy duty equipment industry Experience with parts and labor sales is a plusSkillsStrong sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close dealsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customersKnowledge of on highway vehicle parts and services including diesel engines transmissions and related componentsProficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environmentAttributes Self motivated results driven and customer focused with a strong work ethic and attention to detailLicenses Valid drivers license required; CDL is a plus but not mandatoryPhysical Requirements Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds occasionallyOccasional travel to customer sites within the region may be requiredWork Environment Primarily office based with regular visits to customer locations and the service shopStandard hours are Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or weekends to meet customer needsBenefits Competitive Wages Be paid your worthTuition assistance for educational and ongoing career growthHealth dental and vision coverage begins on the first day of the following monthPaid Time Off PTO starts accruing day one of your full time employmentHolidays 6 Holidays and 2 Floating Holidays per year401K with company matchingLong Term Disability SuppliedShort Term Disability SuppliedLife Insurance SuppliedHealthiest You Virtual Health Care paid by InterstatePPE Reimbursement Safety Glasses and Safety Boot ReimbursementPet Insurance We care about our furry friendsEmployee Discounts available on products and servicesPaid Employee Assistance Program Free 247 Access to a guidance consultant regarding life challenges you or family member may facePaid Health and Well being screening for employees and their spousePlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice Interstate Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage all qualified and interested persons to apply for this position by submitting a resume for consideration IPSRT Military Friendly Hiring</p>
