The Advisor is responsible for 12-20 members on the team. The Advisor works with the Band Director as part of the Marching Band. Person is responsible for writing and teaching the choreography for the dance features and some other pep songs. Typically 3-4 dance features per marching band season. Marching Band starts rehearsal on 7/21/25 and goes away to camp 7/27/25-7/31/25 The Dance Team Advisor is expected to go to Band Camp. Band practice is 3 hours each day till school starts (current schedule 8:00am - 11:00am) - Dance Team is expected at practices. Performance schedule includes all 10 football games, pep assemblies, a few and shows and some community events. (Basically there is something each weekend from the end of August till the beginning of November). The Marching Band practices after school from 6-9pm on Wednesday nights during the marching season. Typically the Dance Team also practices one other night a week as needed. Dance Team Also performs for Basketball Season.</p> <p>Dance Team Advisor is a supplemental position for the Basketball Season. The Advisor is responsible for writing and teaching the choreography for the dance features for the Dance Team Members. Typically there are 3-4 dance features per season. Practices will be scheduled after school by the Dance Team Advisor.</p> <p>Interest application should possess relevant coaching experience. Hiring is contingent upon receiving all necessary certifications as determined by the Board of Education.</p> <p>Require Coaching Certifiations: Pupil Activity Permit, NFHS Fundamentals of Coach Certificate, CPR Card, Concussion in Sports Certificate, Mental Health & Suicide Certificate, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course Certificate.</p> <p>Tyrouts held in Spring on dates TBD by the advisor. Regular duties begin June 30th.</p>
