<p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The City of Bluefield Parks and Recreation Department is seeking reliable, motivated individuals to assist with ground maintenance during the mowing season. This position is responsible for mowing grass, trimming edges, and maintaining a clean and safe appearance at city parks, athletic fields, and other public spaces.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate push and/or riding mowers, weed eaters, and other lawn equipment </li><li>Perform trimming, edging, and basic landscaping as needed </li><li>Ensure safe operation of all equipment and tools </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of parks by removing debris and litter </li><li>Follow instructions from Parks and Recreation staff regarding assigned areas </li><li>Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 16 years of age </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Must be dependable and punctual </li><li>Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions </li><li>Prior experience with mowing or landscaping equipment is a plus, but not required </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work will be performed primarily around the City Park at various locations outside, though additional or alternative jobs may be given.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
