<p>As our Social Marketing Strategy Lead, you will play a vital role in building brands that pet parents love. You will lead the development and execution of social media strategies for multiple brands, contributing both as a creative storyteller and a sharp strategist.</p> <p>This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands what it takes to grow brand communities organically, and has experience producing platform-native content that captures attention, drives engagement, and converts. We're looking for someone who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Own the overall social strategy and day-to-day execution of organic social media across multiple PetIQ brands, including content calendar, scheduling, and community management. </li><li>Lead creative development of platform-specific content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook), including writing, storyboarding, shooting, editing, and optimizing. </li><li>Collaborate with brand, digital, paid media, and creative teams to ensure cohesion across channels, while maintaining each brand's unique voice. Align social strategy with broader brand, media, and content plans </li><li>Partner with influencers and creators to concept and produce branded content aligned with campaign and product goals. </li><li>Stay on top of social trends, platform updates, competitor activity, and emerging cultural conversations, bringing forward recommendations and new ideas. </li><li>Act as a real-time storyteller for new item launches, activations, and key brand moments-capturing, editing, and publishing on the fly. </li><li>Define KPIs and develop frameworks for social media measurement. Monitor, measure, and report on performance metrics to optimize content strategy and inform future campaigns. </li><li>Partner with internal teams and agencies to align organic and paid social initiatives and drive cohesive digital outcomes. </li><li>Define how social supports broader brand, product, and campaign goals </li></ul> <p>Secondary Responsibilities (25%) - Influencer & Affiliate Marketing:</p> <ul> <li>Support development and execution of influencer campaigns to amplify brand reach and engagement. </li><li>Help identify and recruit influencers using tools like Impact and manage relationships, contracts, deliverables, and timelines. </li><li>Track and report on influencer performance to measure ROI and derive insights for ongoing improvement. </li><li>Define how affiliate marketing aligns with social strategy (e.g., using creators, influencers, or content partners as affiliates) </li><li>Identify and recruit social-native affiliates (e.g., influencers, bloggers, TikTok creators with performance potential) </li><li>Test new affiliate opportunities in emerging spaces (e.g., live shopping, AI-generated content, TikTok Shop) </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3-5+ years of experience in social media, digital content creation, and influencer marketing. </li><li>Deep understanding of platform algorithms, audience behavior, and content trends </li><li>Creative thinker and doer with a strong grasp of content trends, audience engagement tactics, and brand storytelling across platforms. </li><li>Experienced with hands-on production, including filming, editing, and publishing social content. </li><li>Confident in managing multiple brand accounts, adapting voice and content accordingly. </li><li>Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and other social editing tools (Canva, CapCut, etc.). </li><li>Collaborative, highly organized, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills. </li><li>Comfortable taking initiative and owning projects from concept to execution with limited oversight. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in the pet care, CPG, or wellness space. </li><li>Background in performance-based social media strategy. </li><li>Experience working with influencer platforms (e.g., Impact). </li><li>Familiarity with social analytics tools (Sprout, Meta Insights, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Company Overview:</p> <p>PetIQ provides convenient and affordable pet health and wellness products and veterinary services to pets and their families through retail and ecommerce channels across the country.</p> <p>We are advocates for pet parents, because we believe that all pet parents should be able to provide necessary care that enhances the lives of their pets.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. </li></ul> <p>Closing:</p> <p>PetIQ is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
