<p>WDAV Classical Public Radio is seeking a qualified student who wants to learn the ins and outs of non-profit work. The WDAV Radio Experience Summer Intern will receive hands-on experience in various areas of station operations, including: administration, membership, digital media, marketing, underwriting, and production. This internship provides an opportunity to explore the "back office," community relations, and broadcast aspects of non-profit work, specifically as it relates to classical music and public media. Training in all relevant work areas will be provided.</p> <p>Duties may include:</p> <ul> <li>Checking recorded voice tracks </li><li>Creating SoundExchange Reporting </li><li>Updating playlists for our Concierto program </li><li>Posting content to the Concierto social media platforms </li><li>Creating, editing, and submitting new content for WDAV digital platforms </li><li>Creating, editing, and submitting content for weekly e-news </li><li>Attending meetings as assigned </li><li>Learning how to effectively use social media for business </li><li>Data management and analytics </li><li>Conducting research/reporting findings </li><li>Planning of programs and events </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates a spirit of curiosity </li><li>Loves learning </li><li>Demonstrates an interest in non-profit work </li><li>Is an effective writer with a pleasing/readable style </li><li>Should be comfortable with prioritizing projects and tasks </li><li>Demonstrates efficiency in their work </li><li>Looks for creative solutions to problems/issues </li><li>Can transition easily between highly varied tasks and projects </li><li>Is extremely reliable, pays attention to detail </li><li>Can work independently/remotely with minimal supervision </li><li>Is a social media user </li><li>Is an excellent interpersonal communicator </li><li>Understands the value in a diverse and inclusive workplace </li></ul> <p>Information about how to submit an application can be found at https://employment.davidson.edu.</p>
