<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job FamilySTAFF - Support StaffGradeC1Salary$14.00 - $15.28DepartmentPublic SafetyReports ToPublic Safety Chief/DirectorClosing DateOpen until filledFLSA StatusNon-ExemptFirst Review DateMarch 12, 2026</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Part-Time Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Operator provides telephone assistance to the public.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Answers all incoming calls to the campus </li><li>Transfers external and internal calls to the appropriate department and/ or employee </li><li>Provides general information about registration deadlines </li><li>Maintains a daily record of all incoming calls to the campus </li><li>Relieves Public Safety Dispatchers when necessary </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution </li><li>All degree's must be from a regionally accredited institution </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures </li><li>Working knowledge of telephone systems </li><li>Ability to answer multiple calls at the same time </li><li>Possess computer and Microsoft Office application skills </li><li>Possess excellent communication skills both oral and written </li><li>Ability to work independently and use time management skills in an intensely high volume office environment </li><li>Ability to provide a high level of customer service </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments </li><li>Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff </li></ul> <p>Essential Position</p> <ul> <li>This function/position has been designated as essential.
