Moving furniture and cabinets. Performs landscape work.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Applies paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete, drywall and wood. </li><li>Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks. </li><li>Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment and ladders. </li><li>Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining and sealing. </li><li>Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. </li><li>Surveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities </li></ul> <p>required; selects appropriate surface coatings.</p> <ul> <li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Skill in selecting and applying paint and associated products.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in applying coatings and/or caulking and completing repairs to exterior and interior surfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license preferred but not required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment:</p> <ul> <li>Successful candidate must submit to a pre-employment fingerprint history check. </li><li>Regular and consistent attendance is required - June 3rd, 2024 - August 16th, 2024 </li><li>Punctuality is required. </li><li>Must be able to work entire shift. (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) </li><li>$15.00 per hour </li></ul> <p>Summer Dress Code Policy</p> <p>Zion Elementary School District 6 has a traditional business attire dress code. However, during the summer months, the District has established a summer dress code that Summer Maintenance Helpers are required to maintain.</p> <p>The following list is a guideline of appropriate and inappropriate attire under the summer dress policy.</p> <p>Appropriate summer dress:</p> <ul> <li>T-shirts (no offensive graphics) </li><li>Polo Shirts </li><li>Khakis </li><li>Denim jeans </li><li>Capri pants </li><li>Company logo wear </li><li>Leggings (may not be see through) </li><li>Casual/Work boots or athletic shoes </li></ul> <p>Inappropriate summer dress:</p> <ul> <li>Shorts (may not be above the knee) </li><li>Flip-flops or slip on footwear (ex: Crocs, etc.) </li><li>Sleeveless tops, halter tops or tank tops. </li><li>Heels or wedges </li><li>Tight, revealing or otherwise inappropriate clothing </li><li>Dresses or skirts </li><li>Clothing that is ripped, frayed, stained or messy </li></ul> <p>All employees are expected to comply with this dress code in a manner consistent with their gender identity and expression. Employees who report to work inappropriately attired will be asked to clock out and leave work to change clothes.</p> <p>Any questions regarding appropriate summer dress should be directed to Human Resources.</p> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Effort:</p> <ul> <li>Work may involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises. </li><li>Considerable physical activity. May require some heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders up to 36 feet. </li><li>Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require basic safety precautions. </li></ul>
