The EH&S Intern will review all Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binders in every dept. at our Agawam location to confirm accuracy, revision date, obtain current copies, and publish to our online SDS portal.The EH&S Intern will also help collect data of numerous job positions to measure push, pull, lift, and carry forces and distances, using a push/pull gauge and tape measure. Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the position demands creative problem solving, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within the organization. We value an understanding of production manufacturing processes, and a commitment to working as a team player! Our goal is that this change agent will lead by example and foster safety as the highest priority in our culture and value system!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Promote Safety as the Number One priority for all OMG employees. </li><li>Review existing SDS's in each dept., confirm active and accurate, obtain revisions as needed, and publish to online SDS portal </li><li>Measure push, pull, lift, carry forces using a push/pull force gauge, and by weighing various products, and measuring lift/place heights and carry distances. </li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned. </li></ul>
