Hampton offers excellent benefits, career and professional development, tuition reimbursement and other benefits.</p> <p>The Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department is looking to hire a self- motivated, enthusiastic and dependable individual to help manage our fishing pier.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or successful completion of a GED.  </li><li> A minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service. </li><li>One (1) year of experience in cash handling, food service and/or maintenance preferred.  </li><li>A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria. </li><li>This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy. </li><li>Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.  </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Requires shift work to include nights, weekends, holidays and on call emergency standby.  </li><li>Extensive contact with the general public and community organizations. </li><li>The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules. </li></ul> <p>Click here for a complete job description.</p>
