<p>Your responsibilities</p> <p>Position Summary: Provide technical support to all areas of plant production. Create, edit and/or revise prints and routers while optimizing the balance between quality, productivity, safety and cost.</p> <ul> <li>Generate process drawings, routers and machining standards </li><li>Solve manufacturing issues on the shop floor </li><li>Investigate and make adjustments of incorrect machining standards </li><li>Estimate manufacturing and product costs </li><li>Review customer order information and recommend changes in specifications if needed </li><li>Identify the proper machine tool to efficiently and safely manufacture the product </li><li>Design machine / assembly holding fixtures and oversee the requisition </li><li>Update routers / process drawings to the current manufacturing methods </li><li>Identify and implement cost reduction projects </li><li>Assist production control in resolving scheduling problems </li><li>Support ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certifications </li><li>Maintain a safe working environment </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field or similar engineering discipline preferred </li><li>3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training in a metal work production environment </li><li>Machining and tooling knowledge in the areas of turning, drilling, threading, ceramic turning and gear manufacturing </li><li>Good computer skills: 2-D & 3-D CAD, Microsoft Products </li></ul> <p>Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology.
