Each of us is a neighbor, a friend, a family member, and together, we are a trusted community health center.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Dental Quality Specialist I works collaboratively with the dental and quality teams to promote awareness, adoption, and practice of efficient and effective workflows and continuous improvement.</p> <p>SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Participate in all aspects of the process improvement process from PDSA evaluation through scaling of the resulting processes for Union Dental sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Create workflow diagrams and process design documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess complex problems and barriers to process improvement and/or enhancement of workflows; recommend and assist in implementation of problem resolution strategies and actions through PDSA cycles.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as a resource and assists dental teams in the preparation of PDSAs and data metrics.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, validate, and analyze information; discern relevant and critical points, patterns, or trends that affect the patient care processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Work across all departments to garner support, exchange information, solicit recommendations, synthesize information and develop pros/cons for workflow redesigns for the dental department.</p> </li><li> <p>Meet with teams and individuals at all dental sites to develop plans for scaling successful PDSAs.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate communication and coordination among all relevant parties and assures consistency, accuracy, and quality of post PDSA process scaling activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other work-related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree and 3+ yrs experience in a dental setting, or RDH or PHDHP, or MPH + 1 yr related dental experience, or equivalent training and experience in dental practice setting. </li><li>Strong understanding of Electronic Dental Records and database applications, and Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Strong written, verbal, analytical, research, presentation and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team. </li><li>Ability to develop reports, policy and procedure documents. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-9 are considered essential functions of the job.</p> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL INVOLVEMENT</p> <p>This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.</p>
