<p>The porter is primarily responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the residential facility and surrounding property.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cleans all program areas daily.</p> </li><li> <p>This includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washes tables, walls, and appliances.; maintains cleaning supplies and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Removes trash daily to outside trash cans, places garbage cans at curb side in accordance with sanitation schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Makes repairs to maintain the safety and security of the facility, requests vendors for repairs not within scope of work.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans all yards and walkways twice a week.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and removes snow as needed, ensures supplies are on-hand to treat sidewalks, driveways, and entrances as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all fire exits and basements are clear of clutter and debris.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports all incidents to program manager/assistant manager, including all unsafe conditions, immediately.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors all safety equipment i.e. fire extinguishers, spill kits, latex gloves, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes hot water checks to ensure the temperature is in the safe range.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes physical plant checklists.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends weekly staff meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) </li><li>At least one year of working experience. </li><li>Good verbal communication skills are essential </li><li>Preferred/ 2 or More Years' experience performing Porter/Maintenance Duties </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>No </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Normal </li></ul> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm </li></ul> <p>Travel (if required):</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.
