<p>Dugan & Meyers (D&M) is actively seeking an experienced Safety Director that would be based out of our Cincinnati office. The Safety Director will plan, implement and supervise safety, accident, first aid, fire protection and safety training programs for all corporate and field locations. You will have the authority to require change in all project operations involving safety, health, and environmental issues and are expected to consistently follow company procedure to ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations as well as corporate policies. The Safety Director has dual reporting responsibilities to both the General Manager of D&M and our parent Company Corporate Safety Director.</p> <p>Established in 1935, D&M has a rich history in the construction industry. We have regional offices in Cincinnati, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; Knoxville, TN and Gainesville, FL.</p> <p>Your responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to.</p> <ul> <li>Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe coworker activities through implementation of safety management practices and procedures. Facilitate and emphasize pre-task planning to eliminate injuries to our coworkers. </li><li>Oversee corporate safety program and conduct coworker safety orientation training when required. Ensure that the corporate safety program remains updated with the most current regulations, requirements, and corporate policies, etc. </li><li>Along with the Regional Safety Manager(s) - (RSM's), conduct work area surveillance inspections, air sampling tests for confined spaces, property damage and personal injury investigations. Submit information to and work in conjunction with the Corporate Risk Department as required. </li><li>Be D & M's primary liaison, or assign a RSM as the liaison, for the OSHA Partnership Agreement, ACI Safety Committee, and other such industry-related groups. Attend meetings sponsored by ACI, the BX, AGC etc. </li><li>Serve as the Chairperson for the Dugan & Meyers Safety Committee and conduct meetings on a quarterly basis or more. </li><li>Mintain the OSHA 300 logs for Dugan & Meyers to ensure their accuracy and compliance with the OSHA Partnership Agreement. Coordinate information with the Corporate Risk Group. </li><li>Actively manage Safety Incidents </li><li>Along with the RSM's, prepare and deliver safety training including but not limited to OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 30-hour, Forklift, Bobcat, Rigging, First Aid, CPR, IIF (Injury and Incident Free) and other necessary programs. Coordinate training with outside sources as required and track safety training and certifications as required through the online Corporate Learning Management System. </li><li>Perform additional assignments as directed by the General Manager </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Educational and experience requirements include two years of college or three years occupational safety/health training with at least eight years construction and/or industrial safety experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
