<p>General Function:</p> <ul> <li>Provide general assistance as determined by the department. </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>Assist the Manufacturing department and its students with various duties in the lab and classroom settings.</p> <p>Take inventory and report to Pro-Tech on supply needs. Other duties will include cutting materials, organization and cleanup of lab and classroom facility, mail, correspondence, supply delivery, and equipment maintenance.</p> <p>Student Aide will report to the Pro-Tech for daily instructions, and the Pro-Tech will keep Coordinator informed on activities.</p> <p>Special projects may also be assigned.</p> <p>Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Punctual and reliable. </li><li>Professional behavior adhering to Harper College's rules and code of conduct. </li><li>Team player </li><li>Good communication skills. </li><li>Organized. </li><li>Positive Attitude </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <p>To apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester, 3 for summer.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Ability to use a computer to create files/folders, send emails, submit timecards, and print set ups.</p> <p>Must be able to safely lift at least 40 pounds.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Not required but preferred: shop experience, electronics knowledge especially components, measuring (tape measure)</p> <p>Applicants do not have to be enrolled in Manufacturing, Welding or Electronics to apply.</p>
