<p>CTE Technology and Engineering Education Teacher</p> <p>10.5 month position</p> <p>Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for a Technology and Engineering Education teacher position that is available in the division for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a 10.5 month position.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Teach Technology and Engineering Education courses to middle school/high school students based on current industry standards and state curriculum </li><li>Advise the co-curricular Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), Technology Students of America (TSA) </li><li>Manage technology and curriculum </li><li>Document and maintain student competency records </li><li>Work cooperatively with others in the education setting </li><li>Prepare students for employment or further education </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's License with appropriate endorsement to teach Technology Education </li><li>Experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans </li><li>Experience using technology in the classroom </li><li>Ability to create an inclusive learning environment </li><li>Experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and coursework </li><li>Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and families </li><li>Ability to be dependable and punctual </li><li>Ability to teach about a wide range of technological systems, engineering, and design-oriented solutions, preparing them to be technologically literate. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Previous teaching experience in Technology and Engineering Education </li><li>Experience with TSA or other STEM-related student organizations </li><li>Technical knowledge and ability in various technological and engineering practices </li><li>Master's degree in a technology, engineering, or related field </li><li>Eligibility and experience with dual enrollment </li></ul> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>SALARY: $55,473.97 - $89,546.14 annually, with benefits, commensurate with experience</p> <p>CLOSING DATE: Open until filled</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>Anthem Medical Plans - Multiple options available for comprehensive medical and prescription coverage</p> <p>Ameritas Vision Plan - Coverage includes eye exams, lenses, frames, and contact lenses</p> <p>Delta Dental Plan - FREE Delta Dental coverage for employees, spouses, and families</p> <p>Carilion EAP - FREE Confidential Employee Assistance Program providing support for mental health, legal, financial concerns, and crisis support available to employees and their families</p> <p>Generous Employee Leave Benefits - MCPS offers leave benefits for PT and FT employees, including paid sick leave, personal leave, funeral leave, and annual leave.
