<p>Position Title:</p> <p>IntelliDeal Regional Pricing Analyst</p> <p>Pay Rate:</p> <p>$75,800 to $101,000</p> <p>Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.</p> <p>Category/Shift:</p> <p>Salaried Full-Time</p> <p>Physical Location:</p> <p>Lebanon, IN (regional role that will also support facilities in Crawfordsville, IN; Fort Wayne, IN; Three Rivers, MI; Lexington, KY; and Bowling Green, KY)</p> <p>The Job You Will Perform:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists in the development of a first-class pricing strategy.</p> </li><li> <p>Works in an analytical capacity with the IntelliDeal Value Driver Project Lead, Regional General Manager, and Sales or Regional Sales Manager to establish metrics and provide analysis on pricing and contract positioning of North American Container. Responsible for the review of pricing strategies and analysis of contract performance at the national, regional and local level.</p> </li></ul> <p>Pricing & Revenue Leakage</p> <ul> <li>Ensure IntelliDeal tool utilization, and follow streamlined approaches to data gathering and support sales staff to capture competitive pricing. </li><li>Key driver in developing a IntelliDeal refined data gathering process to capture competitive pricing and discounting. </li><li>Assists in the development of pricing strategies by customer and product line and is responsible for communicating strategies to the Value Driver Project Lead Manager. </li><li>Manages price exception reports, to include counseling sales force on parameters. </li><li>Gathers, collates, and disseminates competitive information and maintains current market conditions, reviews market changes and competitive pricing. </li><li>Responsible for reporting and analyzing the impact of pricing decisions on net selling prices. </li><li>Executes escalation process for pricing strategy outliers and negative trends. </li><li>Assists in ensuring price change audit completion and exceptions. </li><li>Reviews Witron cost breakdowns for accuracy and effective cost allocation. </li><li>Mid-tier pricing opportunity point of contact. </li><li>NA pricing opportunity assistant. </li><li>Runs IntelliDeal renew ongoing scenarios for local incumbent business. </li><li>Manages local formula pricing customers (as applicable). </li><li>Prioritizes and monitors revenue leakage customer recoup. </li><li>Reviews and advises of HUB people assignment changes </li></ul> <p>Performance Management</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for the analysis of internal and external data sources used to measure customer, product and contract performance as it relates to the effectiveness of pricing strategy and performance-based contracts, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Price Outliers</p> </li><li> <p>Waived Upcharges</p> </li><li> <p>Risk Assessment</p> </li><li> <p>Volume Compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Win/Loss Reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in data clean-up to ensure pricing accuracy, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Drop trailer cost & allocation</p> </li><li> <p>Freight cost discrepancies</p> </li><li> <p>Deal Worksheet terms & conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Regular pricing audits</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes and creates ad-hoc price reports for Sales and Marketing Management.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops situational analysis to evaluate pricing proposals by field reps or customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate the price forecast process, measure accuracy and employ different measure to improve upon accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Business administrator of Contract Manager and QTT.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports CVA and cost savings activities by tracking project outcomes and viability.</p> </li><li> <p>Updates, reviews, and creates Witron estimates as needed for value driver projects (i.e. Redesign, Inventory Rebalance, MMO, Local Bids, etc.).</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Challenges</p> <ul> <li> <p>The external environment, including technology, competition, markets:</p> </li><li> <p>Extremely volatile, fast changing markets, highly price sensitive</p> </li><li> <p>Price Analysis will continue to gain importance in the paper industry as globalization and restructuring continue</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for improvements regarding analysis of market indicators</p> </li><li> <p>The internal environment, including interaction with others, (both inside and outside the company) policies/practices:</p> </li><li> <p>Works with minimal supervision, interacts with manager for business direction changes</p> </li><li> <p>Primary contact for price reporting and analysis for North American Container</p> </li><li> <p>Governed by fair trade laws, corporate policies and practices</p> </li><li> <p>Provides training to Account Executives in support of Pricing/Customer Service integration.</p> </li><li> <p>The work itself, e.g., problems, opportunities, change:</p> </li><li> <p>Primary resource for data and analysis in support of strategic price initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Primary problem solver on tactical pricing issues</p> </li></ul> <p>The Skills You Will Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent work experience. </li><li>A minimum of 5 years related experience (pricing, forecasting, or reporting) of which 3 years were specifically within the paper industry </li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills </li><li>Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills required </li><li>High proficiency with Crystal Reports, PowerBI, Consolidated Sales, Witron and MS Excel applications. </li></ul>
