Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>To ensure the safety of all employees and visitors by reducing the risk of liability by providing injury and loss prevention, training, conducting facility inspections, work site evaluations, driver evaluations, defensive driver courses and injury investigations.</p> <ul> <li>Develop, conduct or coordinate loss prevention training, and presentations. </li><li>Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, conduction notifications and follow up for: Annual Safety Workshop, Safety Awards Program, Remedial Driver Training, New Employee Orientation, etc. </li><li>Will review, revise and develop standard operating procedures and City wide Risk management policies. </li><li>Conducts facility risk audits/inspections on an annual basis on all City owned properties. </li><li>Conducts work site safety inspections at work site locations throughout the City. </li><li>Implement mentorship plan for employees who have multiple safety incidents resulting in injury. </li><li>Investigate employee injuries and assist departments in completing incident report forms. </li><li>Respond to scene of motor vehicle accidents during normal business hours. </li><li>Assist in collecting data pertaining to vehicle accidents. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience related to safety, risk management or loss control </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. </li><li>Instructor CPR/First Aide/AED - Instructor must be obtained within one (1) year of hire </li><li>Defensive Driver Course - Instructor must be obtained within one (1) year of hire </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
