The Technician Specialist is expected to understand and support the Mission and Vision of the Hospital. The Technician Specialist is responsible for carrying out the philosophy and objectives as established by the Board of Directors and the Management Team. Foremost among these responsibilities are strictly adhering to detail in the performance of pharmacy procedures, solving practical problems, resolving conflict, and implementing constructive change.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Must be high school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English. Must have strong math skills with some basic algebra. Must type accurately and with moderate speed</p> <p>Experience: Ability to work with computer systems required. 1 or more years of community pharmacy experience preferred.</p> <p>License(s)/Certification(s): Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist-Intern (if enrolled in a college of pharmacy) with</p> <p>the Iowa Board of Pharmacy, prior to commencement of employment</p> <ul> <li>Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other nationally recognized certification provider </li></ul>
