<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Granby Public Schools is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to serve as the next Principal of Kelly Lane Primary School, beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. This is a unique opportunity to lead a thriving, inclusive learning community that serves 355 students in prekindergarten through grade two and is deeply committed to student-centered learning, social-emotional development, and a strong partnership with families.</p> <p>Kelly Lane's outgoing principal leaves behind a legacy of compassionate leadership, academic excellence, and collaborative culture. We value leadership that is reflective, innovative, and driven by the belief that every child can succeed.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide instructional leadership that supports high-quality teaching, curriculum alignment, and data-informed decision-making. </li><li>Foster a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for PreK-Grade 2 students. </li><li>Lead, support, and evaluate certified and non-certified staff in alignment with district goals and educator evaluation guidelines. </li><li>Promote strong family and community partnerships through clear communication, outreach, and engagement. </li><li>Collaborate with district and building-level staff to implement strategic initiatives that support equity, academic growth, and student well-being. </li><li>Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, resource management, and adherence to district and state policies. </li><li>Cultivate a positive school climate rooted in kindness, respect, and high expectations for all learners, including students in specialized programming </li><li>Serve as a visible, supportive presence throughout the school, modeling professionalism, empathy, and instructional expertise. </li><li>Lead school improvement planning and continuous professional learning aligned with district priorities. </li></ul> <p>Key Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Connecticut Intermediate Administration or Supervision Certificate (092) required </li><li>Strong instructional leadership with a focus on equity and inclusive practices </li><li>Proven experience (3-5 years) as a school leader, preferably in early childhood or elementary settings </li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills </li><li>Commitment to fostering a safe, joyful, and engaging school culture </li></ul> <p>The salary range is $154,906 - $183,055 based on the Granby Association of School Administrators' contract.</p> <p>Posting closes August 11, 2025, virtual screenings may occur prior to closing.
